Baseball season has officially begun in Crown Point. Little League Opening Day was Saturday, May 3rd. All the teams (including softball) paraded through the downtown area to the fields. A great opening ceremony concluded with the first pitch thrown out by Joshua Prunsky, a sixth grader from CP who was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor on February 14th. When we were all done drying our eyes, the games began. Nick is on the Centier Devil Rays, and they won their first game 8-6 (unofficially, of course, as there is no score kept).
Nick and his buddy Vaughn are both playing this year, although Vaughn is a division above Nick so they won't be playing against each other.
