Production has begun in Crown Point for the movie "Public Enemies" starring Johnny Depp. For those of you who live under a rock, Johnny Depp plays John Dillinger, who escaped from jail in CP and got away driving Sheriff Lillian Holley's new Ford. Of course, I'm making the most of the time I have while I'm unemployed to scout out the scene. Today they are shooting mostly inside scenes, but the crew and trailers and stuff are behind the buildings in the parking lot of the bowling alley. My cousin Kayli and I waited patiently among potty-mouthed teenage girls, and it paid off! We saw him leaving his trailer and he drove right past us to get to the set. My boys of course were not interested in seeing Johnny Depp unless he was dressed in a pirate costume. I'll be staking out the set off and on while they are in town, and I'll post any cool pictures I get here.
